An explosive idea that is a drag to get through

I've never struggled with finishing a movie as much as this one. But something about the story was so promising, had such potential for satisfying mindfucks, that I kept trying. To no avail - the execution and characters remain dull, and the direction gutless that it feels it takes forever.

A very intense and well made war movie

The movie cover on this event only, which gives it incredible focus. The tension built up is strong, the tactics and events seem legit, and the seals are depicted as courageous and skilled, but not infallible with superpowers. Hats off.

A masterful story told masterfully

Watching two people, especially science people, walk and talk without caring for a moment whether the viewer understands what's going on, is strangely fascinating. And then watching it unfold into an insanely clever time travel flick that requires diagrams from Reddit to understand, even more so.

Conceptually sound but lost magic

The idea that a whole bunch of new wacky emotions fight it out behind the controls of her brain seemed like the perfect and logical next step, ensuring another great movie. But the sequel curse hits quite hard with this one, as it didn't really move or surprise me, I even was a bit bored at times.

More vile than pleasing

I watch quite a lot of very nasty movies, which apparently satisfies some kind of weird internal need. But occasionally such movies makes me feel bad and depressed in a wrong kind of way. This is one of them. The people and their acts are so despicable, that even the shotgun payback feels futile.
